Moving from WooCommerce
Bring your WooCommerce shop to Specify.
We read your WooCommerce product export and your shop's own pages. You check what we found, and say yes once. This page says what comes across and what does not.
How the move goes
Some steps are yours. Some are done by our team, by hand, today.
Tell us where your shop is
Sign up, and the setup asks if you sell online already. Give it your shop's address.
Send us your product export
Set the language in your WordPress profile to English. Then export your products as a file. Send it to us.
Check it, then say yes once
Our team loads it for you to check. Nothing is added to your store until you approve it.
Switch over on one day
On the day, your domain moves and old links lead to the new pages. Our team does this with you. It has not yet been done for a real shop.
What comes across
From your product export, and from your shop's own pages.
- Each product with its variations, such as sizes and colours.
- Each code and price, and each product's description.
- Whether each product is in stock or on backorder.
- Your product pictures. They are copied into your store, so they stay when the old shop closes.
- Your categories, tags, brands, sizes and weights, kept on each product.
- Your About, Contact and FAQ pages. Also your colours, font and logo.
- Each product's old web address, worked out from its name. Our team checks them before the switch.
What stays behind
The review names each of these, so nothing is dropped without a word.
- Your customers and your past orders.
- Your category pages. You make your groups again here, by hand.
- Draft and private products. Variations you switched off.
- Grouped products and external products.
- Sale prices. Each product's notes say it was on sale, and at what price.
- Tax classes, shipping classes, purchase notes, upsells and cross-sells.
- Later changes in your old shop. The import runs once. It is not a sync.
What you set up yourself
These are yours to do in your store's admin before you open.
- Your prices, if you entered them without VAT. They come across as you entered them.
- Card payments, on the Payments screen.
- Your shipping rate and your tax settings.
- Your delivery, returns and terms pages. They arrive as drafts for you to read and publish.
- Your privacy page. It is never copied, because it must describe your new store.
- How digital goods reach the buyer. They come in as goods you ship, for you to check.
Start with your own products
Create your store, and tell the setup where your shop is. Then we ask you for your export.
To sign up, we ask for your work email and your company name.
